2018 Aurora Spring Open – results

Overview

The Spring Open was the largest open tournament ever organized in Aurora with 160 players, though more players wanted to enter it.  Our next tournament in October 2018 will be at Newmarket Old Town Hall, a larger venue with the capacity of more than 200 players.

There was fierce fighting in the Open section but no clear winner emerged. The players - IM/GM Aman Hambleton, IM Tomas Krnan, and Slava Rek shared first place with four points, and took $700 each as a prize.
