Place: Cafeteria at Aurora High School ( 155 Wellington Street West, Aurora, Ontario, L4G 2P4 )
Sections: by grades – Kindergarten (JK & SK), Grade 1 to 12. Small-number-of-players grades might be combined in to one (like Kindergarten + Grade 1 + Grade 2.)
Format: 5-6 rounds. Round-robin or Swiss depending on a number of players. Rated by the Chess’n-Math Association ( www.chess-math.org/ratings ).
Time control: 10 min each player.

18:30 Round 1
Rounds 2-6 ASAP.
Prizes: winners in each grade receive the trophy and qualify for the 2024 Ontario Chess Challenge final tournament (April 21st, 2024 in Mississauga). For a large-number-of-players grade more qualifying spots are available (11-20 players – 2 spots; 21-30 – 3 spots)
Tie-breaks: in case players would tie for the qualifying place – an Armageddon blitz match will take place.
Ratings: the tournament will be rated in the Chess'n-Math system
Fee: early-bird $20 (till Thanksgiving Monday Night, 2023 November 9, 9:00 pm); later on and on the tournament day - $40.
