The Rapid Championship on April 7th (Tuesday)
It is 6 rounds Swiss with 10 min+5 s time control.
Start time 6:45 pm, and it should finish before 10pm.

The actual CFC membership is required to play in the championship.
Monetary prizes for 1-3 places (or shared). The Champion will receive the trophy on June 8 during the Club Annual Party.
Non-club-members are welcome ($20 entry fee)

The side event will run for youths without the CFC membership.
The Championship stared on Monday, March 23, 2026.
On Monday we run these tournaments:
- Main – adults and advanced youth. Time control 90 min + 5 sec increment. CFC regular/standard rated. CFC membership is required.
- Youth– for youth with CFC ratings below (not yet decided maybe U1200). Plays two (2) games a night with a time control 60 min per one game. Keep scoresheet (recording moves) is mandatory! CFC regular/standard rated.
- Youth Rapid – for youth who just started or not ready for Juniors/Main sections. Plays four (4) games a night with a time control 15 min per one game. CFC quick rated.

We are a chess club located in the town of Aurora, Ontario. In November 2011, a small group of players decided that the town of Aurora needed a dynamic chess club where people could meet, connect and play. May 2012 saw the club formed as a non-profit initiative to benefit our community. We are an independent entity that welcomes anyone who shares a love for this wonderful game.
